Saddle Up Sunday!

The first Sunday of each month, October - March, our indoor arena is open for general riding from 2:00-5:00 pm. This includes use of flat and raised logs, the bridge, walk-through gate, and cones for trail and pattern practice. The round pen is also available for work with your green horse or a new rider. If weather permits, the outdoor arena is also available during this time for barrels and poles practice. If not, barrels and poles may be run inside from 5:00-6:00. No children under the age of 16 are allowed to ride without parent or adult guardian present. No studs are allowed. Cost is $15 per rider or $20 per family. Those with riding memberships do not pay a fee.

Riding Memberships

Individual Memberships are $250 and Family Memberships are $350. A Riding Membership is for one year from time of payment and allows you to use the indoor and outdoor arena any day of the week, 6:00am - 10:00pm, upon scheduling your ride. Trail equipment, barrels, poles, and round pen may be used also. Those with memberships may use the inside wash bay also. The indoor arena is insulated and is buffered in addition to the north with an attached stall barn. So, don't let the wind, sleet, rain, and snow stop your riding!

Sunday, February 7, we had riders from Pawnee City, Falls City, and Dawson. There were quarter horses, draft horses and one miniature! There were young ones being worked on in the round pen, some getting in ground work, and others just having a good time! Don't miss out in March!

Equine Massage Therapist On Site at HCA

Christina Georges, Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, will be taking horses by appointment the first Sunday of each month. Her hours at HCA will be 1:00 - 6:00pm. Each massage lasts about one and a half hours. Sessions are $75, with the 2nd horse of the same owner being $65. Appointments must be scheduled ahead of time through the HCA office, 402-855-2106.

Need a Farrier? A Reliable Farrier?

Ed McClintock is at HCA every Tuesday. To make an appointment for your horse call 402-855-2106 (barn) or 402-855-3135 (house). Your horse may be dropped off in the morning and picked up in the evening, or overnight boarding is available. Knowing your farrier is able to work inside in safe conditions and work no matter the weather, means being able to keep your horse in the best condition. Give us a call.
